Making the most of the mountains in Spain
Novelda Country House is fully set up for cyclists. We have racks for your bikes with padlocks to keep them safe an outdoor shower room and bike cleaning area to hose down your ride.
Just a short ride from the villa is the famous Xorret de Cati climb which was made famous during the 1998 Vuelta a España - a stage won by tragic climber Chava Jiménez.
The climb beginning is just south of Castalla which is undoubtedly the star side of Xorret de Catí, with consistently steep gradients - at times in excess of 20% - testing even the strongest of climbers.
The climb enters the picturesque Maigmó Mountains and the area is also notably for the high density of castles - almost every village seems to have its own.
At the villa we have route guides which have been designed and tested by our own group of friendly cyclists. We also provide a foot pump and spare drinks bottles to let you make the most of your trip.

ALENDA GOLF COURSE
Only a 10 minute drive
The Alenda Golf course was designed and built by Roland Favrat with the maximum respect for the original lay of the land and the estate’s natural vegetation, avoiding any aggressive movements of earth during the construction process.
The golf course was completed in October 1999. It covers 49 hectares of land, 18 holes, par 72 and 6,257 metres in length, as well as an excellent practice area.
FONT DEL LLOP GOLF COURSE
10 minutes from the villa
Surrounded by vineyards, almond trees and ancient olive trees, Font del Llop golf course consists of 18 holes par 72, fully integrated with the landscape of the area and, with its American design and Scottish molding, is a beautiful course for all levels and types of players.
